Ms Sibongile Purity Shongwe

From the age of 14, Ms Sibongile Purity Shongwe was a facilitator of youth leadership programs through the Independent Project Trust (IPT). My involvement covered conflict resolution, assertiveness, English Advancement communication Program with the 1850 English Foundation, poetry writing and performing arts facilitation. Since then she has never taken a back seat in Youth and Black people development in skills, emotional support and economic growth. Her passion is knowledge of self and empowerment of those previously disadvantaged. She is also the winner of the 2009 KwaZulu Natal Entrepreneur of the Year.

MaShongwes competencies are attributed to studies in Information Communication and Technology (ICT), Banking Systems, Projects Management, Labour Law and Human resources.

Now lady of 41, is currently working as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Platinum Incubator (TPI), appointed as a board member of the Southern Africa Business Technology Incubation Association (SABTIA). A member of Women Development Initiatives such as IWLB, WIDE (Women in Developing Economies) and others.

MaShongwes career started in community as a youth leader grew into the Amalgamated Banks of South Africa (ABSA), Airports Company South Africa, Adecco Human Capital, Illovo Sugar Mills, Mayivuke Community development Projects, Global View Technologies, and Progressive Women of South Africa.
